Located in the heart of downtown Saint Paul, Paul and Sheila Wellstone Elementary offers a quality educational program for students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Students learn math through hands-on, real-life experiences using the school’s Everyday Math curriculum and the Connected Math Program.
A significant amount of classroom time is spent on reading and writing while teachers work to meet individual students’ needs. Students enhance learning through the use of technology such as multimedia systems, video, desktop computers, educational software and the Internet. The school also is committed to developing critical-thinking and problem solving skills through student programs such as Destination ImagiNation, Continental Math League, Young Author’s Conference and History Day.
