Ms. Kate Giambelluca

Although new to the Wellstone community in 2021 as the Engineering and Leveled Literacy Intervention educator, Kate is a veteran in the field. The teacher taught adults math and English at the Hubbs Center in Saint Paul and was a classroom teacher working with students in grades two through four in Madison and Baldwin, Wisconsin. Ms. Giambelluca earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa and her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and Multicultural Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The educator loves to run, bake bread, pies, cakes, and cookies, quilt blankets, sew simple projects with her children (such as stuffed animals and bags), hike, bike, cross-country ski, and spend time in the north woods with her family when not at school.

Saint Paul has always been home to Kate; it is where she grew up and where she currently resides. Ms. Giambelluca enjoys being near her family and raising her children in the city she loves most while being close to the beautiful parks, access to nature, and the Mississippi River.

A quote that guides Kate on a daily basis is, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." Nelson Mandela
