Ms. Angela Sherwood

Angela Sherwood has been at Paul & Sheila Wellstone Elementary School since August 2019. Prior to her arrival at Wellstone, Angie taught at various sites in SPPS, Minneapolis, and Woodbury. Her areas of expertise include being a classroom teacher (having taught Kindergarten and fourth grade), a reading specialist, and her current role as an ELL educator. Ms. Sherwood earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education and Spanish from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa and her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Saint Mary’s University.

Being outdoors with her family of five is one of Angie’s favorite places to be when not at school. She can also be found reading realistic fiction, baking sweet treats, breads and cakes, playing tennis, and traveling to any beaches near or far, or the ocean.

Ms. Sherwood grew up in the Twin Cities and has plans to move to a hot, dry climate when her children are grown.

"We all do better when we all do better” is a quote made famous by Paul Wellstone and one that guides the educator on both a personal and professional level.
