Ms. Katie Wright
Ms. Wright became an educator in 2013 and has been at Wellstone Elementary School since 2019. She has experience teaching Pre-K, first, third, and fourth grade. Katie attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics.
The teacher is passionate about many things, with baseball being at the top of her list. Katie can be seen cheering on the Minnesota Twins and the Chicago White Sox with A.J. Pierzynski being one of her all-time favorite catchers to have played the game. During her free time, Ms. Wright also loves to be with her family, her dog (a Chihuahua and terrier mix), friends, growing vegetables and perennials in her garden, biking, roller blading in and around her neighborhood, thrift shopping, crafting, reading mysteries and non-fiction, and traveling.
Although the educator grew up in the Twin Cities, she has no plans to leave the area as she loves the change of seasons and the winter months.
Katie likes the Wellstone community and the plentiful opportunities to grow professionally. She appreciates collaborating with her colleagues to insure the success of everyone every day. Ms. Wright is guided daily by the word “Perseverance” and a quote made famous by an Adidas ad, “Impossible is Nothing”.
