Ms. Zoua Yang

Zoua Yang joins us by way of the public schools in Nebraska where she taught third and fourth graders for five years. She is the Wellstone Technology specialist and works with small reading groups. Ms. Yang double majored in Sociology & Gender and Women Studies from the College of St. Benedict and earned her Master’s Degree in teaching from the University of Nebraska Omaha (Go Cornhuskers!).

When not at Wellstone, Ms. Yang loves spending time with her family and going for walks. She is looking forward to resuming her passion for travel and hiking once her little one is a bit older.

Zoua grew up in Saint Paul, Minnesota and continues to live in the area. Although she loves Minnesota and all that it has to offer, she is looking forward to the day when she may relocate to a place with mountains and oceans.

A quote by James Patterson that guides the educator in her personal life and professional practice is, "Failure isn't falling down, it's staying down."
